A fantastic decorative antique mahogany specimen cabinet. Dating from the late 19th century. Featuring eight numbered dovetailed drawers with original turned handles. This cabinet would have been used by a museum or collector to mount moths, butterflies or insects for display. The glass has been removed to make the piece useful for general storage. 

There are age related marks, scratches and dinks, these have all been polished in over the years adding to the look of the cabinet. The inside of the drawers show signs of use. The drawers glide well. A great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
