Vintage Mid Century Oak Staverton Bookcase Display Cabinet Chest #103167

A scarcely seen vintage Mid Century oak solicitors cabinet manufactured by Staverton, UK, c.1950s. A beautiful piece of furniture of superb construction quality. The back is date stamped along with the stamp of Queen Elizabeth II as these cabinets were made for government & Military offices across the UK. There are five individual shelves each with a fold up door front that slides and pushes back into the top of the section to keep it open. The shelves have plywood dividers. Comes complete with hinged locking device. Perfect for a number of possible uses such as alternative kitchen storage, shoe storage, office storage or retail display.

There signs of general wear including some knocks and marks as to be expected with age and use that have all been polished in over the years. There are some sympathetically filled holes across the piece, we have shown some but not all to give an idea of condition. Two of the shelves are missing one divider, the base of the shelf being filled where it was fixed now making two larger compartments. Overall a lovely piece that would add interest to any home.
