Set 4 Vintage Bentwood 'Sweetheart' Chairs Caned No.16 Thonet Style #103141

A lovely set of 4 vintage 'Sweetheart' bentwood and cane dining chairs in the style of the Thonet No.16 chair designed by Gebrüder Thonet circa 1875, these are later vintage models produced in the 60's / 70's. Cleaned and waxed ready for use.

The caning on the chairs is in good order showing only minor wear considering their age. There is general age related wear, including marks, knocks and scuffs to the frames of the chairs as to be expected. Some of the bentwood back rests and leg braces have some small splits (quite common on these chairs) where the bentwood was joined, please see last photos. Overall a great set of iconic chairs that would add interest to any home.
